The summer of 2020 saw HUA begin its transformation into an online format as UMD prepared for a fall semester impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic

  • we hosted our first online social hour and welcomed students and professors to come and share their COVID-19 experiences and thoughts on the upcoming online semester

• August

  • HUA held a special cross-department celebration of the centennial of the 19th Amendment. This two-day celebration hosted a movie night and discussion with Dr. Taddeo and a panel discussion with Dr. Keane, Dr. Barkley-Brown, and Dr. Steiner from the school of journalism

  • HUA hosted the first school-year online social to help transition students into online learning while helping professors receive feedback on their online formats!
